The Brookswood Story
Brookswood / K9 Connections is home to Ona Steffensen and her two working German Shepherds, Sam and Mylie, and Border Collie, Twist, and retired German Shepherd Kharma.
What started out as a Horse Breeding Farm of Standardbred Horses under the name of KaLae Farms, ended up as Brookswood Shepherds. From there Ona got some sheep and persured her hobby of sheep herding with her German Shepherds.
Ona has always been involved with dogs in one form or another, from confirmation, tracking, obedience, agility, rally and now K9 Nosework, a new up and coming dog sport for dogs and humans of all ages.
Ona has also put on various seminars with presenters from Agility to Dog Aggression, and continues to do so under the name of K9 Connections.
Ona is a Member in good standing with the Canadian Kennel Club, German Shepherd Dog Club of Canada and the National Association of Canine Scent Work, and Dogwood Pacesetters.
